Important: PawCatch cards, coins, catches, rewards, gifts, and trades are entertainment features. They have no cash value and are not a real-world marketplace.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use govern PawCatch and its guest, cloud, camera, collection, map, friend, leaderboard, trading, gifting, notification, moderation, support, and in-app purchase features. By using PawCatch, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
PawCatch is published by Yusuf Afyon. The app is licensed through Apple's App Store. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app license unless a different license is presented through App Store Connect. These Terms supplement that license for PawCatch's service and community features.
2. Eligibility and guardians
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms where you live. If you are not old enough to do so, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms before you use cloud or social features. PawCatch is a general-audience app and is not offered as a Kids Category app.
3. Guest play and accounts
Core gameplay can be used as a guest without a cloud account. Guest data generally stays on the device and can be lost if you remove the app, clear its data, or lose the device.
Sign in with Apple creates or accesses a PawCatch account through Supabase. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Apple Account and device and for activity performed through your PawCatch account. Do not share credentials, impersonate another person, or attempt to access another account.
You may sign out without deleting the account. You can initiate permanent account deletion in the app as described below.
4. Camera permissions and safe pet interaction
PawCatch's camera feature is for photographing cats and dogs you can safely and lawfully observe. Never chase, corner, frighten, touch, feed, enter private property for, or otherwise disturb an animal to make a catch. Follow the owner's instructions, local rules, and reasonable safety precautions.
Do not use PawCatch while driving or where phone use would be unsafe. Detection, classification, rarity, duplicate comparison, integrity signals, and map pins may be incomplete or wrong.
5. User content and permission to operate the service
“User Content” includes catch cutouts, usernames, pet names, profile choices, approximate map pins, report information, and other material you submit or make available through PawCatch.
You keep any rights you have in your User Content. You give the publisher a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, resize, process, transmit, display, moderate, transfer, and delete it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce PawCatch. This includes making an approved cutout available to accepted friends and transferring a catch and cutout to the recipient of an accepted trade or gift.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit. Do not photograph or share a person, private home, document, artwork, screen, or other protected subject without permission.
Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use PawCatch to create, upload, name, trade, gift, or promote:
- illegal, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or graphically violent content;
- content that exploits children, harms animals, invades privacy, or exposes another person's private information;
- content you do not have permission or rights to use;
- impersonation, spam, scams, manipulation, or attempts to move PawCatch cards into an off-platform sale;
- cheating, automated use, duplicate abuse, tampering, reverse engineering beyond rights granted by law, or attempts to bypass access controls and rate limits; or
- conduct that disrupts the service or puts another player, animal, device, or account at risk.
6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
PawCatch provides controls to report supported users and catch photos and to block another player. Reports may be reviewed by authorized moderators. Uploaded photos may remain unavailable to friend-facing photo views until approved.
PawCatch may reject or remove content, limit sharing, prevent a transfer, preserve a safety record, restrict social features, or suspend or terminate an account where reasonably needed to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate reports, comply with law, or secure the service.
Automated controls and reports cannot guarantee that every objectionable item is identified before someone encounters it. Use block and report controls and contact local authorities for an urgent real-world threat. A block may be durable and may not be reversible inside PawCatch; contact support if a block was made by mistake.
7. Trades and gifts
Supported trades and gifts require an accepted friendship. A trade offers one catch for one catch. A gift offers one catch without receiving a catch in return.
- Offer terms are frozen while the offer is pending.
- Acceptance transfers the catch record and its associated cutout to the recipient.
- The transferred catch's custom nickname is cleared.
- A completed transfer is final and is not automatically reversed by unfriending, blocking, signing out, or deleting an account.
- Cards and transfers have no cash value and cannot be sold, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged outside PawCatch.
Never pay or request money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, goods, services, or other off-platform consideration for a PawCatch card.
8. Coins, rewards, and cosmetics
PawCatch may award or sell virtual coins and may offer lures, cosmetics, card styles, rewards, or other virtual items. They are licensed entertainment features—not currency, stored value, deposits, securities, or property—and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Balancing, availability, presentation, and progression may evolve. PawCatch may correct balances caused by error, duplicate delivery, fraud, chargeback, or exploitation. Mandatory consumer rights and Apple's purchase rules still apply.
9. In-app purchases
Digital purchases in the iOS app use Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple displays the localized price and handles payment, billing, tax where applicable, refunds, and purchase history under Apple's terms.
Current purchase types are:
- Coin packs: consumable purchases that grant the exact quantity shown in the Store and are not restorable through StoreKit; and
- PawCatch Supporter: a one-time, non-consumable entitlement with the benefits shown before purchase, currently including the Golden Top Hat and gilded card presentation.
PawCatch provides a Restore Purchases action for Supporter. If Apple shows a charge but an item has not appeared, do not send payment credentials. Use Restore Purchases where applicable and contact support with non-sensitive transaction details.
Refund requests are handled by Apple and remain subject to Apple's policies and applicable consumer law.
10. Availability, updates, and fair use
PawCatch is provided on an “as available” basis. Network, Apple, Supabase, PostHog, device, permission, moderation, maintenance, or StoreKit issues may make a feature temporarily unavailable. The app is offline-first, but that does not guarantee every local change will sync. Do not treat PawCatch as the only copy of an important photograph or record.
The publisher may update, secure, rebalance, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, subject to mandatory consumer rights and obligations for paid entitlements.
11. Sign-out, deletion, and termination
You may stop using PawCatch, sign out, or initiate account deletion at any time. Signed-in deletion requests removal of the PawCatch cloud account and account-linked app data after fresh Apple authentication. Guest deletion removes PawCatch data stored on the device.
Account deletion does not reverse completed trades or gifts, restore consumed coins, or erase App Store purchase records maintained by Apple. If automatic Sign in with Apple revocation cannot be completed, you may also need to remove PawCatch in Apple Account settings.
The publisher may restrict or terminate access for a material or repeated violation, unlawful use, fraud, abuse, a security threat, or where required by law. Where appropriate and legally required, notice and a support route will be provided.
12. PawCatch intellectual property
PawCatch's software, brand, original artwork, text, sounds, and service systems belong to the publisher or their licensors. These Terms do not grant permission to copy, sell, sublicense, or use PawCatch branding or assets outside ordinary use of the app.
To report an intellectual-property concern, email support with enough information to identify the work, the material at issue, your authority, and a reliable contact method.
13. Disclaimers and consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawCatch is provided without a promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from unavailable services, loss of local guest data, user conduct, unsafe pet interaction, or third-party providers. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. Apple terms
Apple is not responsible for operating PawCatch or providing its support. Apple's Standard EULA governs the app license and includes additional terms about maintenance, warranty, product claims, intellectual property, legal compliance, third-party agreements, and Apple's third-party-beneficiary rights.
If these Terms conflict with Apple's mandatory App Store terms for the license, Apple's terms control to that extent. Mandatory rights in the country where you live are not removed by these Terms.
15. Changes and disputes
These Terms may be updated for new features, law, safety, security, or service changes. The updated page will show a new “Last updated” date. Additional notice or acceptance will be requested where required.
Questions or complaints should first be sent to support so they can be investigated. Applicable law, Apple's Standard EULA, and any mandatory consumer forum or dispute rights in your location remain available.
